PW Tools for Blender

Game animation with Blender made easier

Playable Workshop Tools adds a number of features to Blender 4.2 or later, including layer-based animation, viewport-authored gameplay events, and one-click export.

Exports to

Layer-based animation

Stack non-destructive animation layers with five blend modes and reusable key poses. Iterate on motion without disturbing your base pose.

Animation events

Place hitboxes, spawners, and custom events directly in the viewport, keyframed alongside the character motion they belong to.

One-click export

Configure per-object export settings once, then re-export with a single button. No more walking the File menu every iteration.

Engine-ready output

glTF and FBX presets tuned for Unreal and Unity, plus a Godot GLB pass that writes native animation resources on import.

2D skeletal & sprite sheets

Export Pachario 2D skeletons with a sprite atlas, or render animations into sprite sheets, including Godot SpriteFrames and Aseprite.

Modeling tools

Quality-of-life operators that speed up the tedious parts of building, cleaning, and preparing meshes for a game engine.
